This news release is provided by Arthur on the 21 January 2015

Innovative Australian Cloud Operations and Management company base2Services has recently helped major Australian online retailer, THE ICONIC move their web presence over to the cloud. THE ICONIC attracts nearly four million visits each month, making it Australia’s largest fashion e-commerce destination.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) was chosen as THE ICONIC’s new platform in the move to the cloud. base2Services managed the entire migration for THE ICONIC, and used their specialist knowledge gained from many previous large scale cloud migrations to make the process as seamless as possible for THE ICONIC and their customers.

Adam Jacobs, Managing Director and Co-Founder of THE ICONIC said: “The migration was smooth. The insights and experience from the base2 team really showed and we went live without any issues. We are now achieving one of the fastest site load times across the e-commerce landscape, of under 2 seconds.”

Arthur Marinis, CEO of base2Services said: “THE ICONIC project had some pretty big demands when it came to migrating their entire system to the cloud. Thanks to the experience base2 has gained from performing more than 100 migrations, our team together with THE ICONIC development team had no issue in overcoming these challenges. THE ICONIC’s in-house tech team is particularly skilled and savvy about their IT operations, and it helped significantly that they had a deep understanding of what we needed to achieve together.”
